Main job objective – Mission:       

·        Managing financial activities in Romania

·        Handling administrative requests and queries related to audits, specific projects, etc.

Work territory – Job dimension:

You coordinate the financial activities of our 2 Romanian units. One unit is a production plant for knitted fabrics, the other is a cut and sew unit (on 2 locations) for mattress covers,  both are part of the European Business Unit.

Today, the monthly financial figures are uploaded in a reporting system (BPC) by the accountancy department and all further control and analysis is done on group level. Also cost price calculation control and maintenance is done on group level.

It is the intention to have the controls / analysis /maintenance done locally and report variances and discrepancies.

Main responsibilities and Key Result Areas:

•               You manage different financial activities in Romania

o   Preparation and coordination of the monthly financial reporting in collaboration with the responsible of the accountancy department

o   Analysis of substantial deviations compared to budget and take the necessary corrective actions

o   Cost price management and analytical accounting : check the cost price calculations and make the link between cost price, sales price and profitability

o   Take initiative for improvement projects related to cost price management and reporting

o   Monitor and control stock levels

o   Provide support for the annual budget (production plan and costs)

o   Preparation and analysis of investment project in collaboration with the Plant Manager

o   Ensure that VAT declarations are done properly and on time

o   Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns

o   Conduct month-end and year-end closures

o   Responsible for improving financial processes

•               You handle administrative requests and queries related to audits and other specific projects

o   Prepare documents for audits

o   You facilitate the administrative work of specific audits

•               Participation in specific company projects

Interaction with stakeholders:

Internal contacts: Plant Manager, Production Supervisor, European Business Controller, etc.

External contacts: different external partners related to reporting, audits

Professional qualifications and knowledge:

–        Master degree in Economics or equivalent by experience

–        Experience in production environment

–        Knowledge of an accounting information system (SAP)

–        Min. 3 to 5 years of work experience

–        Excellent knowledge English

Competencies and personal skills:

–        Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications

–        Good reporting skills

–        Analytical

–        Good math skills

–        Goal and result oriented

Other requirements or special comments:

Willingness to travel to Sibiu on a regular basis, i.e. every two weeks for about 2 to 3 days on site
